Who we are

FC LiteMeal is a light-meal delivery service in Bahrain operated by Food City (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use the FC LiteMeal app and website, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We handle personal data in line with Bahrain’s Personal Data Protection Law (Law No. 30 of 2018).

What we collect

We collect only what we need to take and deliver your orders:

Account details: your name, mobile number, email address (if you give one) and language.
Delivery details: addresses, delivery notes and your location when you choose to share it for delivery.
Orders and plans: meals, subscriptions, skips, pauses, prices, wallet balance and credits, coupons and loyalty points.
Food preferences: allergens and dietary choices you tell us about, so we can warn you and avoid them in your plan.
Payments: we receive the payment status and a reference from our payment providers. We never see or store your full card number.
Messages and support: your conversations with us, complaints, ratings and reviews.
Device and app data: app version, device type, notification token, and basic technical logs used to keep the service secure and working.

How we use your data

To create your account and sign you in, including one-time codes sent by WhatsApp or SMS.
To prepare, deliver and track your meals, and to contact you about your order, for example when your rider is close.
To manage subscriptions, payments, refunds, wallet credits and loyalty rewards.
To keep you safe: allergen warnings, fraud prevention and security.
To improve the service, for example understanding which screens are confusing.
To send offers and reminders, only if you have allowed them. You can change this at any time.

Analytics and Microsoft Clarity

With your permission, we use analytics tools, including Microsoft Clarity, to understand how the app and website are used, such as which screens are visited and where people get stuck. Clarity records screen interactions and may produce anonymised session replays and heatmaps. We configure it to mask personal details such as names, phone numbers and addresses. Nothing is recorded until you agree, and you can turn analytics off at any time in the app’s privacy settings or the website’s cookie preferences. Clarity processes this data under Microsoft’s privacy terms.

Who we share data with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with:

Delivery riders, who see your name, address, phone number and order details for the delivery.
Payment providers, to process your payment or refund.
Service providers that run our app and website: hosting and storage (Google Cloud), messaging (such as WhatsApp and email), push notifications, error monitoring and analytics.
Authorities, when the law requires it.

Some providers may process data outside Bahrain. We use providers that apply appropriate safeguards.

How long we keep it

We keep your data while your account is active and for as long as needed for orders, accounting and legal obligations. When you delete your account, we remove or anonymise your personal data, except records we must keep by law, such as invoices.

Your choices and rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your personal data, to withdraw consent, or to object to marketing. In the app you can edit your allergens, manage notifications and analytics, and delete your account (Account → Profile). You can also contact us at any time using the details below.

Security

We protect your data with encryption in transit, restricted access and secure storage. No system is perfectly secure, so please keep your sign-in details private. Tell us straight away if you think your account has been misused.

Children

FC LiteMeal is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy in a meaningful way, we will tell you in the app and ask you to review it. The date above shows the latest version.
